# Turn a tweet into an Instagram Story

A Story is 9:16, and the top and bottom of that frame are covered by Instagram's own interface: your profile row at the top, the reply bar and link sticker area at the bottom. Anything you place there gets hidden behind chrome.

## How it works

1. Paste the link to the post.
1. Keep the 9:16 canvas so it fills a Story full-screen.
1. Adjust the purple-to-red gradient and the padding to taste.
1. Download the JPG and add it to your Story.

### What are the safe zones in an Instagram Story?

Roughly the top 250 and bottom 250 pixels of a 1920-pixel-tall frame are covered by Instagram's interface. Keep text out of both.

### Can I use the same image for TikTok or Reels?

Yes, all three use 9:16 at 1080 by 1920. TikTok's interface covers slightly more of the right edge, so keep the card centred.

### Why does this page default to a dark theme?

Stories are usually viewed full screen, often at night. A dark card is less glaring and reads better against most gradients.
